Phone 12 3D Model for Element 3D / Cinema 4D
Smartphone S20 Ultra Element 3D / Cinema 4D Model
Hello, i just bought the pack but whenever i import a screen it comes all zoomed out and rotated… so essentially i cant import a screen… what should i do?
What are the screen dimensions so i can import a screen?
Hi, the screen is UV unwrapped. You’ll find a PSD file containing the parameter (lines) that highlight where the screen content should go. This will ensure perfect fit for the display.
I just bought this and I’m pretty dissapointed…the quality is terrible. Exporting at 1080p full res and the edges are jagged, the screen is blurry… I cannot use this for a project
Hi,
Thank you for reaching out. Can you please check your e3d rendering settings for (anti aliasing / texture compression) These are lowered / enabled by e3d by default for faster previews.
You’ll find anti aliasing settings under (Output > sampling and aliasing). Also turn off texture compression.
For even higher resolution textures, you can freely scale-up (screen content) comp.
Let me know if you need further help 🙂
4k native template is being added. Item will be updated shortly 🙂
fantastic, thank you!
Hi, I have a question. Why the screen comp is in a uv map thing? Why is it not straight forward vertical composition with proper screen resolution?
Hello
That’s a valid question, so the way this 3d model translates into Element 3D while having control over the screen content is done through the screen having a UV layout. This allows the screen to be updated with correctly shaped photos / videos in a 3D software such as Element 3D. UV layouts have a thing for being square in aspect ratio, and that’s why when you access the “screen content” comp you can still see the “bare bone” version of it on display.
It’s a good suggestion to try and mitigate this effect in the future somehow so it’s more user-friendly, but i imagine After Effects / Element 3D users are already in such an advanced level that they get what it is and work around it pretty easily.
Thank you for this question 🙂
This Item is being updated to have clipped screen content comp as well as another version for CS6 users.
Thank you for your suggestion.
